[COURTHOUSE]:::ALLEGED KILLER OUT ON BAIL

A St. James man accused of the murder of Devon Gallimore of Seaview, Albion in the parish was granted bail in the sum of $250,000 in the Montego Bay RM Court on Wednesday, March 17.

    Facing the murder charge is Delroy Johnson of Farm Heights in the parish.
    The court was told that the post mortem report is still not available to the court but a copy of the burial order is on file.
    The clerk said she will be requesting a statement from the doctor and after such statement has been received she intends to have dialogue with the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) regarding this case.
    As a condition of his bail, Johnson was instructed to report to the Freeport Police Station on Tuesdays and Fridays and is to surrender is travel documents.
    A stop order will also be placed at all ports of exit.
    The matter will again be mentioned on April 29.
    The prosecution is alleging that on February 10,2009, Gallimore was at home when a dispute developed between him and a female.
    It is alleged that during the argument the woman called Johnson who came on the scene with a firearm and opened fire in Gallimore's direction.
    Gallimore, who had sustained a gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
