Shakeel Lincoln, Krystal Lincoln and stepson Lorenzo Stephens were left motherless and fatherless respectively on Wednesday morning of
this week after gunmen snuffed out the life of Radcliff Lincoln, Jr., otherwise called ‘Sonna Puckhoo’, 41 year-old Cornwall College past student and son of deceased popular businessman Radcliff ‘Sonna Puckhoo’ Lincoln Snr.
Lincoln, who operated his businesses along Strand Street in Montego Bay, was shot dead execution style while standing at his gate with a visitor. On a visit to the home of the deceased at Appleton Hall, there were still signs of the blood where the businessman fell beside a garbage receptacle which stood outside his gate. Family members, who are now mourning his death, said that despite Lincoln being feared by many, he was a most humble and loving father who returned to Montego Bay to bury his wife, exactly a year ago.
The police confirmed that Lincoln was at home on Wednesday morning when he was called from the premises by an unknown visitor about 7:20 a.m. Further reports are that Lincoln would usually stand on his verandah, which overlooks the community, to speak to anyone who visited him. It is being theorized that the shooter might have been known to him (Lincoln) as he walked to his gate to converse with the unidentified man.
Minutes later, one gunshot rang out and when family members ran to investigate, the businessman was seen lying at his gateway in a pool of blood with a single gunshot wound to his head.
Residents said that a white Toyota Corolla motor car was seen driving away from the scene shortly after the shooting.
Family members rushed the wounded man to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries about two hours later.
The police are pursuing investigations to determine the motive behind his death and the identity of the shooter.
Investigators are also asking members of the public for assistance in obtaining any information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the death of the popular Montego Bay business man.
He who worked alongside his father after leaving Cornwall College. After his father’s death he then assumed control of the businesses.
