The man who was shot in a drive-by attack on Tuesday morning while walking from Mt. Salem in Montego Bay has been identified.
He is Rohan Oliver, a 43 year-old Canadian citizen who was staying with relatives in the community of Coopers Hill Terrace in that community.

Reports garnered are that - contrary to what was reported earlier - Oliver was on his way to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he had a therapy session. He was being treated for stab wounds received during an altercation with a group of men while attending a Guinness party in Montego Bay on New Year's Eve.
Oliver, who was shot 22 times, was clad in a blue T-shirt, blue leans pants, black and white socks and white sneakers. He also had a paper in his hand which had information about his therapy session.
About 8:30 that morning, Oliver was heading to the hospital and was attacked by two heavily armed men driving in a white Toyota corolla.
The perpetrators discharged over 30 rounds, 22 of which caught him. The men sped off, leaving the wounded man.
The police were summoned and their investigations revealed that a female medical practitioner - who had gone to transact business at a hair salon in the area - also received a bullet to her right side. She was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where she was treated and released.
