Everald Warmington officially commissioned the new system into service, which was built at a cost of approximately $23 million through the joint efforts of the Ministry through the Rural Water Supply Limited, Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF), and the Catadupa Benevolent Society. The Catadupa system can supply up to 103,000 gallons of potable water per day.

The Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Honourable Olivia Grange, MP has ex­pressed regret at the passing of Ras Junior Manning. Ras Junior Manning served as a member of the National Commission on Reparations, a cause to which he had been person­ally committed for many years.
