A St. James man who allegedly used a knife to inflict stab wounds to another man had his case referred to mediation.

Resident Magistrate Vivienne Harris made the order when the case against Courtney Thompson was
Bay RM Court on Monday, March 8.
Thompson is answering to a charge of unlawful wounding.
He had his bail extended until March 29 when the matter will again be
Reports are that on January 21,2010, the complainant, who is reportedly involved with Thompson's mother, went to visit the woman and an argument developed between them.
It is alleged that Thompson intervened and used a knife to stab the complainant to his chest.
In an ensuing struggle for the knife both men fell to the ground and the accused man used the knife to stab the complainant five times in the back, causing him to be hospitalized for three weeks.
Hence he was arrested and charged.
