The occasion was titled ''An Opening I with a Difference' and indeed, the official dedication of the third salon and spa in the Norma Webster brand at Fairview in Montego Bay was way out of the ordinary.
Sunday's opening ceremony was done in fine style and took the form of an Art Exhibition, showcasing the works of some of Jamaica's greats, including Barrington Watson, Gene Pearson, Elgo, Jannett Eyles, David Pinto and Ted Williams, who also masterfully guided the proceedings as MC. Proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to the Haitian Relief effort. "Already, for many, the situation in Haiti is no longer news, but we allow ourselves to be continually reminded of the severe needs that exist there, especially at such a time," remarked Cosmetologist, Monique Webster in welcoming guests to the new Norrna Webster Salon and Spa at Fairview.
Monique proclaimed the opening of the new location "a smart business move," based on the direction in which Montego Bay's urban population is drifting, noting that their service offerings will even be more wide-ranging, with this new addition.
The exceptional brand was started in 1973 by Norma Webster wits "two chairs and a dream" and now boasts salons and spas located at Baywest Shopping Centre, Half Moon Shopping Village and Fairview Shopping Centre.
