Forty-five year-old Sharon Thompson, Newspaper vendor of Shrewsbury Westmoreland, died after she was hit by a mini-bus on Bay Road, Little London, in the parish Sunday.
Forty-five year-old Sharon Thompson, Newspaper vendor of Shrewsbury Westmoreland, died after she was hit by a mini-bus on Bay Road, Little London, in the parish Sunday.
Reports are that about 6 a.m., Miss Thompson was walking along Bay Road when the accident happened. She sustained injuries and was assisted to the Savanna-La-Mar General Public Hospital where she succumbed.
The driver of the vehicle, 39-year-old Coleman Brown of Walter Cheddersingh, Llandilo was subsequently arrested and charged with Causing Death by Dangerous Driving.
The Savanna-La-Mar Police are investigating.
