Two men charged in connection with the murder of 42 year-old Clifton Brown of Whitehall, St. Elizabeth were remanded in custody when they appeared before the Montego Bay RM Court on Monday, March 15.
Two men charged in connection with the murder of 42 year-old Clifton Brown of Whitehall, St. Elizabeth were remanded in custody when they appeared before the Montego Bay RM Court on Monday, March 15.
Charged with conspiracy to murder and robbery with aggravation is Leighton McLennon, 22, of Stonehenge, St. James and Kimari Stephen, 26, of Ginger Hill, St. Elizabeth.
When the matter was called up for mention, the court was told that a new attorney is in the process of being reassigned to the case.
As a result, the matter was adjourned un March 30, at which time legal representation is expected to be settled.
Reports are that on May 17, 2009 about 1:45pm, Brown, who was a salesman, was driving his Toyota Townace panel van along the Summer Hill main road when two me posing as customers stopped him.
The men shot him several times and robbed him as well as to relieve him of his licence firearm before fleeing the scene.
Brown was pronounced dead at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
