The Hanover Health Department has granted permission to the Management of the Grand Palladium Resorts in the parish to re-open their main kitchen which was ordered closed on February 11, 2010.
The order was lifted on Monday, February 15,2010 after the Health Department acknowledged that significant work has been done to correct the public health breaches that were identified.
During the period of closure both teams worked closely together to ensure that food was prepared in a safe environment in other kitchens on the property and that repairs were carried out in accordance with the public health regulations.
A work plan was agreed on for the remaining issues to be addressed. The Health Department says it will closely monitor the progress being made, while providing the necessary assistance for technical guidance and support to ensure that the Hotel is compliant. The Ministry of Health and its agencies will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to secure the health of our citizens and visitors.
