Promoters from the UK and Jamaica have teamed up to host a weeklong party holiday with some of the biggest DJ’s from the UK and Jamaica, with over 500 British spring breakers expected to be arriving in Jamaica to join forces with the Jamaican and American spring breakers.
The organisers of Brit Jam aim to strengthen the relationship between Britain and Jamaica. They want to play a part in presenting the positive aspects of Jamaica and its culture in an attempt to eradicate negative stereotypes and images that the UK have come to have of the island.
Brit Jam will be commencing from Monday, March 8 with the following events right though until Monday, March 15
Monday, March 8 - Welcome party at Twisted kilt (Brit Jam’s official restaurant and spot for Entertainment pass retrievals). Tuesday, March 9 - Glamorous All White party at Margaretville (Brit Jam’s official spring break headquarters). Wednesday, March 10 - Play Boy/Pyjama at Margaritaville, Thursday, March 11 — Brit Jam Ladies night at Margaritaville, Friday, March 12- Mini skirt & High Heels Edition at Zinc Shack, Saturday, March 13 - Get Wet Beach Party at Aquasol Theme park day event from 12 p.m.-6p.m. and Fire in the City at Pier I (one of the main Brit Jam events). Sunday, March 14- Fantasy Island feat Vybz Kartel (Main Brit Jam event: day & night beach party)
Monday, March 15 - Show Love Fashion show at Margaritaville (official send of party).
Considering the current economical climate Brit Jam organisers has decided to keep Entertainment passes at a reasonable fee. For $3000 you can have access to all Brit Jam events, as well as the option to upgrade to VIP for $6000.
