Wounding case suffers setback

The prosecution on Friday, January 29 was not in a position to carry out legal proceedings in the case against a St. James man who is alleged to have used a knife to stab another man in his neck.

   The accused, 20 year-old Askor McGreggor is facing a charge of unlawful wounding.
A new date has been set for March 4 and McGreggor had his bail extended until then.
   Reports are that on August 24, 2008 about 4p.m., a dispute developed between both men and in the interim,      McGreggor used a knife to inflict a wound to the complainant’s neck.
   The complainant lost consciousness and was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was hospitalized for two days.
   The matter was reported to the police and following investigations, McGreggor was arrested and charged.
