A trial date has been set in the case against four St. James men who allegedly broke into a bar in the parish early January.
A trial date has been set in the case against four St. James men who allegedly broke into a bar in the parish early January.
Charged with shop breaking and larceny is Christopher Tibby, 25; Odane Hylton, 23; Oshane Donaldson, 22, and a 15 year-old boy, all of Salt Spring.
The four appeared before the Montego Bay RM Court on Thursday, February 25.
The men, who are out on bail, are scheduled to stand trial on June 10.
They had their bail extended until then.
On January 12, 2010, the police were reportedly on patrol along Market Street when on reaching Orange Lane they observed a group of men running.
They made checks at a nearby bar and discovered that the grill to a window was cut and entry gained.
The area was searched and a steel cutter, sound equipment and an assortment of liquor were found.
The four men were later held on St.
James Street with other sound equipment and bottles of liquor.
They were taken back to the scene and the proprietor, who was informed of the break-in, identified their properties.
As a result, the four were arrested and charged.
