A new trial date has been set for Oscar Lawrence who was reportedly found in possession of a .45 round of ammunition.
A new trial date has been set for Oscar Lawrence who was reportedly found in possession of a .45 round of ammunition.
Lawrence, 40, of Barnett Lane in St. James appeared before the Montego Bay RM Court on Monday, February 22 to answer to a charge of illegal possession of ammunition.
The new date has been set for May 18 and Lawrence had his bail extended until then.
Reports are that on December 11, 2008, the police were carrying out an operation on Barnett Street in Montego Bay when they saw the accused man.
On seeing the police, Lawrence reportedly ran up a staircase into an apartment.
The police followed him and knocked on the door to the apartment and Lawrence opened it.
A search was conducted and in the process, a .45 round of ammunition was found inside Lawrence's pants pocket.
