A St. James Resident Magistrate on Thursday, March 4 reduced a wounding with intent charge against a St. James man to unlawful wounding.
A St. James Resident Magistrate on Thursday, March 4 reduced a wounding with intent charge against a St. James man to unlawful wounding.
Askor McGreggor, 20, was charged in connection with an incident in August 2008.
The wounding with intent charge McGreggor faced was reduced after prosecutors read the medical certificate.
He had his bail extended until June 17 when his trial is expected to begin.
Reports are that on August 24, 2008 about 4p.m., a dispute developed between both men and in the interim, McGreggor used a knife to' inflict a wound to the complainant's neck.
The complainant lost consciousness and was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was hospitalized for two days.
The matter was reported to the police and following investigations, McGreggor was arrested and charged.
